// designer résumé templates

Employment Portal:

In addition to its free services for job-seekers, we plan to create an "employment portal" where companies can post jobs and applicants can easily apply to them.

Your data is your data and so we will never automatically share it with employers. All of the upcoming employment portal features must be opted into by the job-seeker. None of our services will ever cost the applicant money, but employers who post their jobs here will pay a small fee for each applicant we send their way. When an applicant completes their résumé, a function will check their job title and see if it matches any available jobs on Chardoc. The user will then be shown a list of current jobs and asked if they want to auto-apply to them or if they want to view them all on a separate page, from which they can hand pick jobs they are interested in and apply to all of them with the click of a button.

Can I do all of this without creating an account? Absolutely. We will always offer as many features as we can without requiring users to create an account. As a matter of fact, we don't even have the option to create an account at the time of this page's publication (03/31/21). We vehemently disagree with the immoral business model that is all too commonly practiced, where user information is collected and sold to third-party affiliates and protected under a lengthy and ambiguous user-agreement during the account creation process. We will participate in ethical advertising on our site and provide paid services to employers, but we will never betray our job-seekers or treat them like human cattle.

Want to create templates of your own?

We understand that a healthy community is a great way to make a website flourish. In addition to forums where users can help eachother and provide peer to peer feedback, we are currently working on a platform where designers can create and publish their own templates to Chardoc and recieve a portion of the template's generated ad revenue. If you make the "next, hottest template" and it rakes in a lot of traffic, you'll get paid for it. We will also be implementing a rating system and/or a feature that sorts templates by their popularity in the browse section, so the most-used templates will show up at the top of the results.

This feature is currently under development with no current ETA, but if you are interested in participating in the beta, email josh⦾chardoc.com. Just replace the '⦾' with '@'.
